They Promised Her the Moon is a true-story drama about Jerrie Cobb, the first American woman to test for spaceflight. As she endures a record nine hours in an isolation tank, her memories reveal her journey from learning to fly as a girl in Oklahoma to advocating for the secretive all-female Mercury 13 program in Congressional hearings—a story of determination, sisterhood, and fighting for the greater good.
